Fatherly example and care for children - the topic of the meeting in the Gomel diocesetranslated

On October 22, 2026, the department for social service and church charity, together with the department for family issues, protection of motherhood and childhood of the Gomel diocese, organized a meeting with fathers raising minor children alone and fathers with many children.

Raising children requires a lot of responsibility and daily worries from parents. At the meeting, participants were able to communicate with the clergy and receive support.

The guests were greeted by the cleric of the parish of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in Gomel, Priest Alexander Grishanenko. He noted the importance of a father's example and emphasized that a father should be protection and support for children. Priest Alexander himself is raising two young sons.

The priest wished the participants strength, patience, wisdom in raising children, spiritual peace and God's help in everyday work. On behalf of the Gomel diocese, he presented food packages and sweets to the fathers. Children who came to support their fathers also received gifts.
