Orthodox Youth Gathering unveils ITO 2026 logo inspired by National Cathedral and Brâncuși

The visual identity of the 2026 International Orthodox Youth Meeting (ITO) has been unveiled, featuring a logo inspired by the mosaics of Romania’s National Cathedral and Constantin Brâncuși’s iconic Infinite Column.

According to the organisers, the central element of the monogram is “a minimalist representation of the silhouettes of young people joyfully participating in the International Orthodox Youth Meeting. At the same time, each silhouette symbolises a member of the family, whether the immediate or the extended family.”

The stylised heads of the figures take the shape of a rhombus, a symbol with multiple meanings in Orthodox visual tradition, expressing light and radiance while evoking “the bright future of Orthodox youth in the Romanian Orthodox Church.”

The designers explain that each element can also be viewed as a mosaic tile inspired by the artwork of the National Cathedral, as well as a repeating motif reminiscent of Constantin Brâncuși’s Infinite Column, a symbol of eternal life.
