Saint Prophet Jonas Prophet Jonas (c. 800 BC) – Jonas was the son of Amittai from the tribe of Zebulun in the vicinity of the city of Azot. He prophesied between the years 830-800 BC. The Holy Scripture of the Old Testament, in the book called Jonas, contains several details about his life.
