A meeting dedicated to Sobriety Day was held at the open-type correctional facility No. 19 of the Department of Execution of Punishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gomel Region.

On September 13, the institution was visited by the rector of the parish of the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Zhlobin, Archpriest Leonid Mikhailovsky.

At the beginning of the meeting, a prayer was held for those suffering from the disease of wine drinking and drug addiction.

Then the clergyman held a conversation dedicated to the feast of the Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John and the topic of a sober lifestyle.

Archpriest Leonid also introduced the meeting participants to the Address of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' on the occasion of Sobriety Day.
