With the blessing of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Alexy II, the holy relics of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called from the St. Panteleimon Monastery from the Holy Mount Athos remained within the Russian Orthodox Church. The relics of the holy Apostle were delivered to Russia for the anniversary celebrations of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
