Kindergarten and schoolchildren were told about the holiday of the Intercessiontranslated

A holiday dedicated to Mother's Day and the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary took place in nursery-garden No. 99. It was prepared jointly by branch No. 16 of the children's city library and the parish of the Church of the Skitkovo Icon of the Mother of God.

The rector of the parish, Archpriest Maxim Kolevatov, also taught a lesson for fifth-graders of secondary school No. 47. He spoke about the history of the Feast of the Intercession, associated with the legend of the appearance of the Mother of God in the Blachernae Church of Constantinople. The priest explained that the holiday reminds believers of the prayerful intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and her care for people.
