In Galați, the anniversary events began on Friday on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the bringing of the relics of Saint Andrew the Apostle to Galaţi.

On this occasion, on Friday evening there was a procession with the reliquary in which there is a fragment of the relics of Saint Andrew the Apostle and a "Pilgrimage of Light" in which clerics, students of the theological seminary and believers took part.

The anniversary program began on Thursday, when students of the theological seminary watched the documentary "30 years of Saint Andrew's apostolate at the Lower Danube". On Friday morning, the Holy Liturgy was celebrated in the chapel of the seminary, where a fragment of the relics of Saint Andrew was brought.

The demonstrations will continue on Saturday, October 17, with the Bishop's Holy Liturgy at the Archbishop's Cathedral, as well as with philanthropic actions.
