An exhibition dedicated to Nadia Comăneca was opened by Agerpres in Iasitranslated

The exhibition "Nadia. Perfection has a story" was opened on Wednesday by the National Press Agency Agerpres at the Palace of Culture in Iasi, 50 years after the first Olympic 10 achieved by Nadia Comăneci.

The exhibition brings together photos from the institution's archive and offers the public an incursion into the life of one of the most famous personalities of Romanian sport.

Visitors can see images from the competitions, but also lesser known photos, which present Nadia Comăneci in personal poses.

"Currently, the archive includes more than 4.5 million photos, some dating back to 1927, including images on glass plates, a rare photographic heritage. These images document Romania's history in all fields: sports, culture, film, social life, supplementing the information transmitted by the news of the time," said Claudia Victoria Nicolae, general director of Agerpres.

The story behind the performance Through the exhibition dedicated to Nadia Comăneca, the organizers aimed to overcome the image of the champion associated with the grade 10 from Montreal and to present to the public the personal side of the athlete.

Interestingly, the archive contains more than 4.5 million photographs, dating back to 1927. Photographs on glass plates are a treasure. But personal photographs of Nadia Comeneci are always more interesting than just those where she is on the platform with ten.
