On August 7, on the heel of the 10th week of Pentecost, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed an akathist in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ before the locally revered image of the Most Holy Theotokos “Seeking the Lost” of Tiraspol. His Eminence was served by the clergy of the cathedral and clergy of the Central Deanery, Archpriest Georgy Lisnik, Archpriest Anatoly Kaushan and Hierodeacon Anastasy (Melnichenko), as well as Deacon Grigory Martynov, who is undergoing liturgical practice. At the end of the akathist, the clergy and believers reverently bowed to the locally revered image of the Most Holy Theotokos, singing the majesty of the Queen of Heaven. Before the start of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Vladyka Savva performed a proskomedia commemoration of patrons, benefactors and all Orthodox Christians entrusted to his archpastoral care, offering prayers for the health and salvation of the living and the repose of the departed.
