News of the Izhevsk and Udmurt diocesetranslated

On August 19, 2026, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Metropolitan Victorin of Izhevsk and Udmurtia led the patronal feast in the Transfiguration Church in the city of Votkinsk. This oldest church in the city has been one of the spiritual centers for Orthodox Votkinsk residents for more than a century. Patronal celebrations, when the Church remembers the gospel event on Mount Tabor, attracted many parishioners and clergy. And so, on Mount Tabor, the Lord revealed the Kingdom of Heaven to the apostles. They were so shocked by His beauty and light that they carried these memories until the end of their days.
Can we, people of the 21st century, see the Kingdom of Heaven? Can. Just not on Mount Tabor, but here on earth. Saint Gregory Palamas said...
