The new church in Şiștești was consecrated by Bishop Iustin: A foundation for eternitytranslated

The new church of the Parish in Şiștești, Maramureș county, was consecrated on Sunday, following a 14-year effort by the community. The Reverend Father Iustin, the Bishop of Maramureș and Sătmar, described the place of worship as "a foundation for eternity".
On this occasion, the church received the gifts of the Dormition of the Mother of God, Saint Andrew the Apostle and Saint George the Great Martyr. According to the consecration document, the place of worship is 33 meters long, 18 meters wide and 27.5 meters high and is built in the neo-Romanian style.
