The feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul at the Patriarchate of Jerusalemtranslated

The memory of the First Apostles Peter and Paul was celebrated in the Patriarchate of Jerusalem on Sunday, July 12, 2026, centered on the Holy Monastery of the same name on the northwest bank of Tiberias.  The Holy Liturgy was presided over by the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Mr. Theofilos, co-officiating Holy Sepulcher High Priests and fathers.

The announcement of the Chief Secretariat for the holiday in detail:

On Sunday, June 29th / July 12th, 2026, the memory of the holy glorious First Apostles Peter and Paul was celebrated under the Patriarchate in the Holy Monastery named after them - after the Church named after them from the year 1930 on the Aedimus Patriarch Damianos the text on the north-west shore of the Sea of Tiberias.

During this feast, the whole Church, especially the Church of Jerusalem, remembers the confession of the Apostle Peter "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." (Mat. 16,16) and the work of the Apostle Paul, because he responded to the call of Christ, marching towards Damascus (Acts 9,1-19) and proclaimed Christ to the nations, deserving to ascend to the third heaven, (2 Cor. 12,2).

In honor of these two holy Apostles, a goddess stood out...

God bless you for the reminder. It is interesting that the monastery on the northwestern bank of Tiberias was consecrated only in 1930 under Patriarch Damian. And Peter’s confession “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God” always remains in the heart.
