The Metropolitan of Didymoteicho at the "Joyful Akrogiali" Boys' Camptranslated

The seaside Camps "The Happy Akrogyali", in Makri, Alexandroupolis, were visited by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestias and Soufli, Mr. Damaskinos on the 23rd of July 2026, where the Boys' Camp Period of the Holy Metropolis is in progress. Approximately one hundred (100) boys are accommodated during this period, from the 20th to the 27th of the month, with the theologian Fr. Athanasios Danakis in charge and the Camp Leader the educator Theofanis Dimitriadis. The campers are divided into eight (8) groups, depending on their age, and the general theme of the Camp is "Speak to me Christ - You are the way, the truth and our life", for a special approach to the teaching of the Lord through His parables.

Introductory to the theme of the Camp it was emphasized;  “We live in a world full of voices. Some excite us, others confuse us, and others take us away from what is truly valuable. Among so many sounds, there is a voice that does not shout, but gently touches the heart. It is the voice of Christ. Christ speaks to every person.
