"Hospitality Dobra 2026" has begun - Consecration by Verois Panteleimontranslated

July 6, 2026 · 1 min read

The "Hospitality of Dobra 2026", which is organized by the Holy Metropolis of Berea, Naoussa and Campania, began again this year with joy and blessing, offering children and young people a special experience of summer hospitality, a beautiful opportunity for life and spiritual cultivation for children and the new generation. At noon on Monday, July 6, His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Panteleimon performed the Consecration for the start of this year's summer hospitality and addressed fatherly words to the children participating in the first period.

The Pastor Mr. Panteleimon pointed out the great opportunity they are given to experience moments of joy, friendship, entertainment and, above all, to get to know our faith better in an environment of love and unity, under the auspices of Panagia Dobra. At the same time, he expressed his thanks to the Head of "Hospitality Dobra 2026" Archim. Ephraim Papamanolis, as well as to all the partners, executives and team leaders who serve the children with devotion and take care of the smooth operation.

It is good that everything was dedicated to Baptism this year, it is important for children. May the Lord bless father Ephraim and all those who work there with the girls. I hope they really felt the love and unity that Bishop Panteleimon spoke about.

It sounds like a lovely start, especially with the focus on Baptism this year. My niece went through a similar camp near Veroia a few summers back and still talks about the friendships she made under the Panagia Dovra. May Father Ephraim and the team have strength for all the girls.

I’m glad that this year everything was dedicated to Epiphany; children really need to understand this from an early age. It’s good that Bishop Panteleimon himself came to the hagiasmos and talked with the girls. Let Father Ephraim and all the counselors not get tired, working with children in the heat is not an easy task.

I agree, Valentina, it’s important to talk about Baptism from childhood, otherwise many people are guided only by the name of the saint. Vladyka Panteleimon always speaks so sincerely to the children, it’s clear that he speaks like a father. Father Ephraim, in such heat, is also on his feet all day, I bow to them for their efforts.

That's nice to hear about your niece — those friendships really do stick, don't they? Our parish sent two girls last year and they came back asking for the Baptism icon as a keepsake. I hope the team manages the heat this week; it's been roasting in Sydney already.

I agree, George, we really need to talk about Baptism from a young age, and not wait until the name of the saint remains the only clue. In Voronezh, such camps also help, and then the children themselves ask about the hot tub. I wonder if you know what classes on the topic of Baptistism have been planned this year?
