Decisions of the Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchatetranslated

On July 16, 2026, in the Patriarchal and Synodal residence at the Danilov Monastery in Moscow, His Beatitude Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Mr. Cyril presided over the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, which was informed about the agenda and took a number of decisions. Initially, the Holy Synod was informed by His Beatitude about the pastoral visits he made to Belarus and other provinces of Russia, as well as about the work of the Supreme Ecclesiastical Council during the first half of 2026.
The Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate also proceeded with the elections of Metropolitans and Bishops as well as the canonization of local Saints of the Church in Russia.
Among other things, finally, the Venerable Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, Mr. Antonios, informed the Holy Synod about his visits to Jordan, Italy, Egypt and Ethiopia.
