The local community of Dionysos Municipality is shocked by the death of a man who was found dead on Friday night (4/5) in a container in the courtyard of the Holy Church of Prophet Ilias Rodopolis, with a knife wound to the neck. According to what the vicar of the Holy Church, Protopresbyter Fr. Ioannis Chryssakis, told edionysos.gr, this is a 53-year-old man who, among other things, was a cantor at the Holy Church of Prophet Ilias Rodopolis and was temporarily living in a container.

"We are shocked by his death. It appears to be pure suicide. Unfortunately, the man suffered from psychological problems and we had all seen it. For this reason I had previously sent him to a psychologist, while 15 days ago I had arranged for him to be seen by a psychiatrist. Unfortunately, he could not stand it and chose to end his life, in this hideous way. He performed, among other things, the duties of a chanter of the church. He was 53 years old, with no children. To help him, due to the problems he was facing, we had granted him temporary accommodation in a space in the forecourt of the Holy Church. I have nothing else to say.…
