The Bishop of Imathia in Lefkadia Imathiatranslated

On Thursday, October 1, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop of Almopia Mr. Stefanos officiated and celebrated the Solemn Divine Liturgy for the feast of the holy icon of the Virgin of Gorgoipikou, of Mount Athos, a copy of which is kept in the holy parish church of Agia Paraskevi in Lefkadia, Imathia. In his sermon he referred to the miracle of the Virgin Mary and the repentance shown by the monk Nilos, who was pedagogically deprived of his sight by the Virgin Mary.
