The clergy of the Chechersk deanery took part in the regional “Dozhinki”translated

On October 3, 2026, the “Dozhinki-2026” holiday was held in the agricultural town of Botvinovo, Chechersky district, dedicated to the completion of the harvesting campaign. Representatives of the clergy of the Chechersk deanery took part in the event.

During the ceremonial part, the leaders of the harvesting campaign were presented with awards and memorable gifts. On the central square there was an exhibition-fair of local products and handicrafts, as well as the “Museum of Bread” exposition.

The holiday was attended by the dean of the Chechersk district, the rector of the parish of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Chechersk, Archpriest Gennady Khatkevich, and the rector of the parish of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the agricultural town of Botvinovo, Priest Alexander Khamylevsky. The clergy toured the exhibition and talked with residents. In conversations, they noted the importance of labor on the land and thanked agricultural workers for their work.
