Classes in Holy Calligraphy Began in the Holy Metropolis of Kitroutranslated

With the aim of familiarizing oneself with the art of Byzantine Calligraphy, preserving ecclesiastical tradition, and creative expression through iconography, the classes in Calligraphy, organized by the Spiritual Center "Saint Photius" of the Holy Metropolis of Kitros, Katerini, and Platanos, have commenced. The classes are being conducted with the care and initiative of the Very Reverend Metropolitan George, in the modern and appropriately equipped premises of the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolis, with instructors including Presbyter Theodoros Kostianos.

The program is aimed at both beginners and advanced students, offering the opportunity for those who love the art of Calligraphy to acquire the basics, as well as to delve into the techniques, principles, and rules of Byzantine iconography.

Additionally, special attention has been given to the participation of children and youth, as there is also a special youth section.
