Information and awareness activities by the Karditsa Mobile Unit of the "Mission"translated

With the aim of raising awareness among citizens on mental health issues, the Karditsa Mobile Mental Health Unit of "APOSTOLIS" recently carried out a series of education and information activities in Local Communities of the Prefecture of Karditsa. The actions focused on presenting the work and services of the "APOSTOLIS" Mobile Unit, as well as combating the stigma that still surrounds mental health issues.

During the meetings, data on the frequency of mental disorders, according to data from the World Health Organization, were presented, while the factors that contribute to the creation and perpetuation of social stigma were developed.

An open discussion followed with the participants, who had the opportunity to express questions, concerns and experiences, highlighting the importance of communication, solidarity and timely support for the promotion of mental health.

The actions were implemented in the context of the continuous effort of the "APOSTOLIS" Mobile Unit to be next to the residents of mountainous and remote areas of the Prefecture of Karditsa. The previous period...
