Kostas Giulekas at the historic Greek Consulate and the Metropolis of Kortsatranslated

Korytsa was visited by the Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia and Thrace), Kostas Giulekas, accompanied by the members of the outreach mission of representatives of the business world, self-government and Universities of Northern Greece, Albania and Montenegro. Mr. Giulekas and the members of the delegation first went to the historic building of the Greek Consulate, where the Nobel laureate poet Giorgos Seferis had served.

There, the deputy minister met with the consul, Asterios Bouzias, whom he informed about the purpose of the trip and the members of the delegation were given a tour of the building.

Afterwards, they went to the headquarters of the Metropolis, where they met with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Koritsa, Mr. Anastasios, who informed them about the actions and needs of the Metropolis.

"It was my duty to come here. Every Greek must also pass by Kortsa, to see the roots of our own people who were here, who continue to be", said Mr. Giulekas to His Holiness and noted that the church of Kortsa is one of the most historic and must be visited by Greeks.
