Consecration of the opening of the Synagogues of Readers and Priests of the Dimitria Metropolistranslated

The Consecration for the start of this year's Synagogues of Readers and Priests of the Holy Diocese of Dimitrias and Almyros was performed on Saturday, October 10 by Rev. Metropolitan Dimitrias, Mr. Ignatios, at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Church of Agios Georgios in Nea Anchialos. Readers and Priests from the provinces of Volos, Almyros and Nea Anchialos participated in the procession.

During his speech, His Eminence expressed his joy for the presence of the children and the continuation of this important institution of the local Church, pointing out the importance of young people's participation in religious life and their essential acquaintance with church tradition.

He made special reference to the work of the Synagogues, stressing that "the presence of children in the Church is a source of joy and hope. Through these meetings, our young people are given the opportunity to get to know our faith better, to cultivate bonds of friendship and to realize that their ministry at the Holy Vima is a special blessing and responsibility".
