Sotira acquires a digital Byzantine Route with 360° virtual tourstranslated

The Municipality of Ayia Napa and the Municipal District of Sotira, with the support of the Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) of Famagusta and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, proceeded to create the digital "Sotira Byzantine Route", an initiative that highlights the rich history, cultural heritage and unique identity of Sotira.

A statement from the Municipality of Agia Napa states that "the historic Byzantine chapels of Sotiras have been standing for centuries as irrefutable witnesses of the faith, history and cultural continuity of the place".

"Each temple and chapel tells its own unique story, preserving traditions, legends and memories that are passed down from generation to generation," it is noted.

"With the aim of protecting, highlighting and promoting this valuable religious and cultural reserve, the Municipality of Agia Napa and the Municipal District of Sotiras created a single thematic route that connects all the Byzantine chapels of the area", it states.
