The I.M. boys' camp season has ended. of Neapolis in Poseiditranslated

By the grace of the good God, the camp period of the little boys of the church camp of I.M. Neapolis and Stavroupolis Favorite Refuge the Good Shepherd in Posidi Halkidiki. The dates of the period 6 to 13 July. Days full of joy and carefree, offering the little campers, prayer, lots of play, creation and spiritual cultivation. The central theme of this year's camp was "the Divine Liturgy", the heart and essence of the Church's life.

This period was entitled "Centered on the Holy Table"

and the teams were as follows:

3rd Group: Saint Gregory the Dialogue

5th Group: Saint Maximus the Confessor

6th Team: Saint Cyril of Jerusalem

7th Group: Saint Justin the Martyr

8th Team: Saint Dionysios the Areopagite

9th Team: Agios Theodoros the Studite

10th Team: Agios Nikodimos the Saint

11th Team: Agios Simeon of Thessaloniki

It sounds good this year in Posidy. I like the "Holy Table Centered" theme a lot, especially with the little boys. Which of the holy fathers was the most interesting to them, whether St. John Chrysostom or St. Nikolai Kavasila?

I think Kavasila is better for them than Zlatoust because he writes as if he is explaining a recipe for bread at home, step by step, without many words. We will read that part at home, let's see. In our parish, we also often explain the three baptisms at the Liturgy, but children usually just repeat the gesture without thinking.
