After a sufficient time had passed, when he reigned over the Romans2 and a civilian crowd of the Persian army marched against the Romans. And after plundering everything they found before them and desolating everything like Scythians, as they say, they finally reach Chalcedon, to complete the desolation and to capture the Queen of the cities herself, so that through her they can destroy the entire dominion of the Romans.

It’s interesting how the Persians lit a fire right in Larnaca, but the relics still survived. It is clear that the Mother of God stood up for her own here too, as it was said at the very beginning of the article. Thanks for the continuation, I read it with interest.
