The Patriarch of Sevrias in I.M. Holy Saturday in Elaine, Australiatranslated

The Holy Monastery of Agios Savvas in Elaine in Australia was visited today by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porphyrios, who is making an official visit to the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand. In the Holy Monastery dedicated to the father of the Serbian Church, who in 1972 left a unique mark on spirituality in this region through the prayerful and hard-working zeal of Serbian immigrants, the hierarchs, fathers, together with the brothers and the faithful people, welcomed the Primate of the Orthodox Church in Serbia.

Expressing his joy for God's providence to come from Serbia to a geographically distant country, but blessed by the beauty and opportunities provided by God and the presence of the Orthodox peoples, the Patriarch Mr. Porphyry said that the Lord cares for all people and places and does not discriminate between people based on the color of their skin or the way they seek the truth.

The Abbot of the Holy Monastery welcomed His Beatitude and noted: "You have already been here as assistant Bishop and you know how much love this people has for their homeland and for this monastery".…
