"In a spirit": Anniversary event of the Holy Monastery of Xenophon at the Athens Concert Halltranslated

The Brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Saint Xenophon organizes on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Athens Concert Hall, the event "En hinpnevmati".

The occasion is the fiftieth anniversary of its abandonment, from Meteora to Mount Athos, and the enthronement of Archimandrite Alexios as Professor, in October 1976. The anniversary is the starting point for a wider review of the recent history of the Monastery and the common path of the Brotherhood: its spiritual life, the people who ministered to it, the ties that developed with the Church and society and in the testimony of the monastic tradition of Agioreita in the modern world.

Through speeches and testimonies, archival and photographic material, animation and holy chanting, stations of this route will be highlighted, as well as aspects of the activity of the Brotherhood inside and outside Mount Athos.
