Patriarchal admonitions of Patriarch John of Antioch to the Orthodox young men and women of Syriatranslated
The Orthodox Youth Meeting of the Patriarchate of Antioch took place at the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of Agios Georgios (Al-Humairah). The meeting with the Patriarch Mr. John I was the most remarkable event, which the third day brought. His Beatitude sat with the young people in a warm fatherly meeting, in which he expressed his interest in them and heard their impressions about what they experienced during the "Ana Icon" meeting. He also heard the hymn of the meeting from them.
His Beatitude emphasized, in his discussion with them, that our love for the other is the foundation of our love for God, and that our love for Christ is not separated from our love for each other. He also called the young people to live with a faith that knows no fear.
He confirmed that nothing separates us from the love of Christ, and he underlined the importance of gathering the young people of the various Syrian Holy Metropolises and meeting them as children of the One Church.
