The Ministry of Culture awarded works of culture, which change the cultural and development footprint of Lesvostranslated

Four highly symbolic works for the residents of Mytilini, Molyvos and Petra were performed by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, concluding the second day of her visit to Lesvos. During the two days, a total of nine important projects for the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage of the island - four in the urban fabric of Mytilini - were carried out, which constitute one of the largest coordinated interventions that have been implemented in Lesvos: From the shielding of emblematic monuments and the protection of human life to the creation of new museum infrastructures, the restoration of historical buildings and their reintegration into the daily life of citizens. These projects, essentially, reflect the strategy of the Ministry of Culture for a culture that protects historical memory, strengthens social cohesion and acts as a driver of sustainable development, cultural and touristic upgrading and economic prosperity for Lesvos.
