Handwriting of a monk in the Byzantine Church of Agia Theodora Artistranslated

July 4, 2026 · 1 min read

In the Byzantine Holy Church of Agia Theodora of Artis, on Friday, July 3, 2026, in the afternoon, Vespers was held, officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Artis, Mr. Kallinikos. During the Holy Mass, the ordination of Mr. Konstantinos Fantis as a Rassophoro Monk took place.

The new Rassophoros Monk accepted the wishes of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Artis, Mr. Kallinikos, as well as the faithful present.

The Holy Church of Saint Theodora, queen and patron of Arta, is a point of special spiritual reference, connected to the solitary course and holiness of the queen of Epirus, who abandoned royal glory and dedicated herself to God.
