Resurrection Vespers in Paleokarya Trichonidostranslated

The mountain community of Paleokarya, which is located north of Lake Trichonida and belongs to the Municipality of Agrinio, was visited on the afternoon of Saturday, August 8, 2026, by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, Mr. Damaskinos, as part of his tour during the month of August. His Eminence officiated at the Resurrection Vespers service on Saturday, at the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios where a large number of residents and vacationers attended.

Proclaiming the divine word, he expressed his joy for his visit to the Parish and the participation of so many faithful in the Vespers Service and announced his decision to award the office of Archimandrite to the modest, humble and tireless Vicar, Father Tychonas Skiadas.

His Eminence referred to the period of the Fifteenth of August, the great Despotic feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the awarding of the office to Father Tycho.
