With these divinely inspired words, our Holy Church sings today the mystery of the seventh Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos and Immaculate Mary. In the heart of summer, the entire Orthodoxy celebrates the "Summer Easter" and looks with gratitude to the Virgin Mother of our Lord.

Today, although it brings the human sadness of parting, it is also a day of joy, hope and spiritual joy.
