The Vespers were attended by the Abbot of the Monastery, Archimandrite Alexios Papadopoulos; the Archpriest of the Church of Saint Nicholas in Kallithea, Archimandrite Nikolaos Kladi; the Archpriest of the Diocese of Delos and Mykonos, Protodeacon Peter Maragos; the Protopresbyter of the Church of Saint Kyriaki, Protodeacon Emmanuel Galanakis; and the Deacons George, Philaret, and Nestor, together with a large gathering of Mykonian faithful and visiting tourists.

Following the service, the Praises of Saint Paisius were chanted in the monastery courtyard on a raised platform, with the participation of the attendees, led by Deacon Philaret and Mr. George Kouni.

Thanks for this story. It is good that Paisios is so respected in Turian Monastery and this new parekles is already working. If Deacon Philaretos and Giorgi Kunis sang that encomia together, it would be interesting to listen.

I read with joy too. I am glad that they made this new chapel with St. Paisius, Porphyry and James and that so many people came from Mykonos. I think that deacon Filaretos and Mr. Gheorghe Kounis sang the Eulogies beautifully, as they are sung in our church choir.

The new chapel for St Paisios, St Porphyrios, and St Iakovos sounds like a solid addition to Tourliani. Nice to see so many Mykonians and summer visitors turn out for the Vespers, and I bet Deacon Filaretos and Mr. Kounis did a fine job with the Enkomia in the courtyard. I hope the Metropolitan’s talk on St Paisios gets typed up somewhere so the rest of us can read it.

It’s good that the new chapel is already in operation and Vespers was served there on the day of remembrance of Paisius. It’s interesting how the encomia sang in the courtyard - Deacon Filaret and George Kunis, it probably turned out well. And Bishop Dorofei always speaks so warmly about the elders.

It’s interesting how the encomia sounded in the courtyard - Deacon Filaret and George Kunis together must have been emotional. Vladyka Dorotheos always speaks warmly about the elders, it’s a pleasure to read.

Yes, the chapel turned out to be cozy, it’s good that we managed to commemorate the saint. The encomia in the open-air courtyard probably sounded especially touching, especially when Filaret and Georgy sang together. Did you attend this evening or are you just following the news of the monastery?

It’s good that the chapel is already working, yes. But the encomia in the open-air courtyard was probably especially touching, especially if a lot of locals came. I wonder if Bishop Dorotheos said anything new about Paisius or mainly about his simplicity and prayer?

Yes, the chapel is already in operation, and this is noticeable by the way the people gather. The encomia in the courtyard was really emotional, especially when the locals sang along with Filaret and Georgy Kuni. And Bishop Dorotheos spoke not only about the simplicity of Paisius, but also about how he knew how to reason with people without unnecessary words - I remember this. Have you ever attended such evening services in Mykonos?

Yes, I too was happy to see that they brought so many believers from Mykonos to the new chapel. Deacon Filaretos really has a warm voice, it's a bit like what we hear in the choir when we sing at St. Parascheva. Have you ever been to Turlia Monastery?
