On July 20, 2026, with the blessing of the Moscow Patriarch Kirill, the President of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Antonios of Volokolamsk, arrived in Cyprus for a working visit. At Larnaca International Airport, the archbishop was welcomed by Archpriest Pavel Povaliaev, head of the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in Limassol.

In the evening, on the eve of the Feast of the Consecration of the Icon of the Virgin of Kazan, Metropolitan Mr. Antonios held the all-night vigil at the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos.
