Thira Youth Office: How was the Holy Cross found?translated

How did Saint Helen, centuries after the Crucifixion of Christ, manage to seek and find the Holy Wood? And how was the Cross on which our Lord was crucified identified among the three crosses found?

On the occasion of the great feast of the Exaltation of the Holy and Living Cross on September 14, the Thira Youth Office presents a special visualized historical and spiritual journey.

We follow Saint Helen on her journey to Jerusalem and learn about the church tradition surrounding the search and finding of the Holy Cross. The excavation at Golgotha, the finding of the three crosses and the Holy Threads, the miraculous event by which the Lord's Cross was recognized, its Exaltation by Saint Makarios and the story of Judas, who believed in Christ and received the name Kyriakos, come to life through our narrative.
