Trisagio in Jerusalem and Monastery of Abba Gerasimos of Jordan for Elder Chrysostomostranslated

Trisay for the repose of the soul of the blessed Elder Chrysostomos, Abbot of the Abba Gerasimos Monastery of Iordanitos, was celebrated today by the Patriarch of Jerusalem His Excellency. Theophilos in the monastery church of Saints Constantine and Helen.  The blessed Elder Chrysostomos fell asleep yesterday, Sunday, September 6, 2026, in a hospital in Athens where he had been hospitalized for the last few days fighting a serious illness.

Trisay for the repose of the soul of the Elder was also celebrated in the monastery where he worked with all his spiritual powers, Abba Gerasimos the Jordanite in the desert of Jericho. The trisayo was performed by the Elder Dragouman Archimandrite Mattheos, a member of the three-member committee appointed by the Patriarchate of Jerusalem in order to preserve order and ensure the orderly operation of the Holy Monastery.
