The increasingly difficult position of the Serbian people and the Church in Kosovo and Metohijatranslated

After a long period with numerous talks with international representatives and efforts for the peaceful, immediate and spirit of goodwill to solve the existing problems, the Diocese of Raska and Prizren feeling the pastoral and moral obligation to publicly point out the increasingly difficult position of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, which has exacerbated by the attitude of the Kosovo institutions towards the Serbian community, published a lengthy text referring to the current situation. The Episcopal text emphasizes the violation of the people's rights and the abuse of power by the Police at the expense of Serbs, while pointing out the historic low, for the post-war period, of trust in the police authorities.

" We are deeply convinced that if this situation continues without an international response, the complete disappearance of the Serbian people from this region may occur. International reports have also recently highlighted the deterioration of relations with the Serbian community, the low level of trust in institutions, the highly provocative and aggressive police officers...

Radu NistorTrist, ce se întâmplă acolo. Am citit cum poliția abuzează de putere și cum a ajuns încrederea la un minim istoric – exact ca în text. Să dea Dumnezeu să nu dispară cu totul sârbii din Kosovo, cum zice Episcopia, că e loc sfânt pentru toți.
