The solemn speech was delivered after the Doxology by the Principal of the 2nd Primary School of Eretria, Mrs. Eleni Mitzifiri.

The hero of the fallen, despite the rain, was followed by the memorial service and laying of wreaths, in the presence of the Member of Parliament of Evia Mr. Athanasios Zebilis, the Deputy Regional Governor Mr. Evangelos Koukouzas, the Mayor of Eretria Mr. Nikolaos Gournis, the Deputy Mayors Mr. Voulas Americanos, Mr. Christou Dionysopoulos, Mr. Georgiou Kateva, the President of the Municipal Council Mr. Georgia Patta, the President of the Municipal Community of Eretria Christos Neroutsos, representatives of the Police and Port Department of Eretria, the Voluntary Forest Protection Rescue Corps of Evia, the Cultural Association of Eretria (Constantis Kanaris) and also other local bodies.
