The Lords of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Canada congratulate the new Archbishop Apostolostranslated

Today, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the Holy and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate elected Mr. Apostolos from New Jersey by unanimous vote as the new Archbishop of Canada in succession to Archbishop Mr. Sotiriou who submitted his resignation. Upon hearing of the election of the new Archbishop of Canada, the Lords of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Canada congratulate Archbishop-elect Mr. Apostolos "and look forward with joy to his reception in Canada as he takes up his pastoral ministry", as they state, among other things, in their congratulatory announcement.
