Eleftheroupolis celebrated its Eleftheriatranslated

The 114th anniversary of the liberation of Eleftheroupolis and the region of Pangaios from the Ottoman yoke, on October 17, 1912, was celebrated with splendor and the presence of the local Authorities and multitudes of believers on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in the Holy Metropolis of Eleftheroupolis. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Eleftheroupolis, Mr. Chrysostomos officiated during the procession of Orthros and then performed the High Priestly Divine Liturgy in the historic Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos of Eleftheroupolis, flanked by priests of the Metropolis.

Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, the established official Doxology for the liberation of the city was performed, in the presence of the political, military and other Authorities of the place.
