Bishop of Thessaly: We Are All Called to Become True Disciples of Christtranslated

The festal Vespers for the feast day of the Synaxis of the Holy Twelve Apostles was celebrated at the Hierarchical Metropolitan Chapel of the Holy Twelve Apostles, known as "Red Church" in Karditsa, on Monday evening, June 29, 2026.
The sacred service was presided over by His Eminence Bishop Timotheos of Thessaly and Phanariophersalou, accompanied by clergy from the Holy Metropolis and with the participation of numerous faithful who came to honor the memory of the Holy Twelve Apostles, the first disciples and heralds of the Gospel of Christ.
During his homily, the Hierarch expanded on the deeper theological content of apostolicity in the Church, emphasizing that it is not merely a descriptor included in the Symbol of Faith but a reality that reveals the very life and continuity of the Church through the ages.
