On Thursday, September 3, 2026, on the feast of Saint Anthimos Hieromartyr Bishop Nikomidias, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini Mr. Panteleimon officiated at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos Komotini. In his speech, His Eminence referred to the wonderful life and unshakable faith of the Saint and also wished the celebrant Primate of the Holy Metropolis, His Eminence Archimandrite Anthimos Kostarakis, that the Lord would strengthen his work and grant him many and blessed years.

I always enjoy hearing about St. Anthimos's steady faith through all those trials. Nice that the Metropolitan tied it right into wishing strength and many years for Fr. Anthimos Kostaraki too. Our parish had a small icon of the saint from a trip to Greece years ago.
