On the feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Holy and Life-giving Cross, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimon, on the evening of the eve, September 13, 2026, officiated during the Solemn Vespers and presided over the Litany of the Holy Icon of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the celebratory Holy Church of Timiou Stavrou Mesochoriou. On the day of the feast, September 14, he officiated in the aforementioned Holy Church. Addressing the congregation, he referred to the importance of the Holy Cross in the life of Christians and the victory of life over decay and death through the Cross.
