At the Metropolitan Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross-Panagia Pantanassa in Sikinos, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Syros, Archbishop Dorotheos V, celebrated today upon his arrival from Syros via private means, with the participation of the island's newspapers, Archpriest Spyridon Boulakos and Theodorus Arsenikos, and the presbyterical presence of the Governor of Sikinos, Deputy Governors, and Municipal Councils, as well as the Director of Primary Education in the Cyclades, Eirene Tsavala, who is visiting the schools of Sikinos, teachers, and students from all the island's schools, and answered questions from the Sikinians.

In his sermon, His Beatitude Archpriest Dorotheos V spoke about the Cross as a supreme expression of Christ's love for humanity, emphasizing our duty to love others with self-sacrificial devotion.

He congratulated the educators on their work, blessed the educational community of the island for the new school year, distributed academic diplomas to students and blessings to believers together with royal blessings, and offered his prayers for the beginning of autumn.

Finally, he bestowed upon Archpriest Spyridon Boulakos, in recognition of his service, a medal of the Holy Metropolis.
