Over 388 million Christians from all over the world are being persecutedtranslated

August 22nd has been established since 2019 by a resolution of the UN General Assembly as "International Day of Remembrance for Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief". According to the latest international report of the Open Doors World Watch List for 2026, Christians are for another year the most persecuted socio-religious group on the planet, with more than 388 million Christians suffering high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith.
