The feast of the Apostle Paul in the city of Incheontranslated

On Sunday, June 28, the Metropolitan of Korea and Exarch of Japan, Mr. Ambrosios, visited the parish of Saint Paul the Apostle in the city of Incheon, where he presided over the Divine Liturgy, co-celebrating with the archpriest Father Daniel Na and Deacon Christopher Jonker. In his sermon, the Metropolitan presented the Apostle Paul as a model of a prayerful person for every Christian, commenting on the Pauline exhortations "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17) and "pray for prayer" (Col. 4:2).

After the Divine Liturgy and the Artoklasia, the whole community participated in a common meal of Love. During the Agapi meal, the Metropolitan referred to the fourth anniversary of the death of the Metropolitan of Aedim, Mr. Sotiriou, who imitated the Apostle Paul in his life.

He also invited the faithful to participate in the upcoming summer camp programs of the Holy Metropolis and the weekly Zoom meetings on the life and teachings of Saint Porphyry.

Finally, he thanked everyone who worked for the preparation of the celebration.

Thank you for telling me. It is interesting how Metropolitan Ambrose connected the words of the Apostle Paul about unceasing prayer with the life of the late Metropolitan Sotirios - this is to the point. In Nizhny, too, after the liturgy we often gather for a common meal, which helps people get to know each other better. And about summer camps and meetings on Porfiry - it’s good that they’re calling, young people need it.

Thanks for this story. It is good that Metropolitan Ambrose directly connected the words of Paul "pray without ceasing" to the life of Metropolitan Sotirios, it is easy to understand. Not so often with us in Telavi, but when we eat together after the liturgy, we really become closer to each other.

The part about Metropolitan Ambrosios linking “pray without ceasing” to the way the late Metropolitan Sotirios actually lived really stuck with me. Our parish in Ottawa does the same love meal after Liturgy most Sundays, and it does make everyone feel more like family. I might try to join one of those Zoom talks on St Porphyrios this summer.

If you have dinner together like that in Telavi, it's good, sometimes it happens with us in Batumi too, and then the conversation turns out to be more sincere.
