"Camp in the city 2026" in Prevezatranslated

In an atmosphere of joy, enthusiasm and creative participation, the first period of "Camp in the city 2026", organized by the Youth Department of the Holy Metropolis of Nicopolis and Preveza, took place. The camp was hosted from July 1 to 4, 2026 at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolis in Preveza and children from the Catechetical Schools of the city of Preveza participated, who lived four days full of prayer, play, creative activities, group activities and beautiful moments of Christian fellowship.

The theme of this year's program was "With the Virgin Mary on the way to Christ. Each of her names is a hug!", through hagiography lessons, workshops, games and common life, the children experienced important moments from the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary and discovered the importance of her presence in the life of every Christian.

A special blessing was the presence of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Nicopolis and Preveza, Mr. Chrysostomos, who visited the camp during the closing ceremony, talked with the children and staff, addressed fatherly admonitions and handed over participation souvenirs to the campers,...

It’s good that the children spent four whole days in prayer about the Most Holy Theotokos. I especially liked the title of the topic - “Every Her name is a hug.” I wonder what names they studied in class?

The children in Preveza did well and dealt with Panagia. The "Every Name a Hug" theme sounds really hot. I also ask like Lyubov: which names of the Virgin Mary were used in the lessons? Was Panagia the Guide, Gorgoepikoos, Paramythia? I would like to know.

I liked it a lot that they put the names of the Virgin Mary on the theme and made them "arms". In Πρέβεζα we also have in our catechumens the Panagia the Guide and the Paramythia. Children who come four days together is a great blessing.

I liked the "every name a hug" idea too. Here in Constanța, during catechesis, the children remember the "Protector" and "Buna Mijlocitoare" better when we link them to concrete facts in life, not just icons. Ana, do you think it would be a good idea to have an online meeting between the groups in Preveza and ours to exchange experiences?
