On Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Army Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the grand celebratory vespers to commemorate the memory of Saint Paisios of Agioreitos, patron of the Weapon of Transfers, took place at the headquarters of the Transfer School at the "KARAISKAKI" Camp in Chaidari, Attica.

The Great Vespers was celebrated by the Metropolitan of Nicaea, Mr. Alexios.

The Deputy Regional Governor of the Western Sector of Athens Mr. Alexandratos Charalambos, Members of the Supreme Military Council (SMC), representatives of the local government, active and retired Armed Forces Officers, academic authorities and other guests attended.

It was nice to see that General Κωστίδης also came to the service. Saint Paisius is a good protector for those in transmissions, especially when they work with such precision.

I am glad that A/GES Kostidis was there, he shows respect. Agios Paisios fits very well with Transfers, with all that precision and quietness he needs. Metropolitan Alexios did a fine job at vespers, as always.
