The traditional summer music and dance event of the Holy Church of Agios Vasilios took place again this year, on Sunday July 5th, with great success, gathering a large number of people of all ages in the courtyard of the church. The beautiful summer evening was filled with music, song and traditional dances, offering moments of joy, entertainment and meeting for all present.

The program was opened by the children of the Catechetical Schools of the Youth Sector of the Parish, enthusiastically presenting traditional Greek dances and eliciting the warm applause of the audience.

Afterwards, the Music School of Mr. Pavlos Plakas, together with the singer Ms. Apostolia Iatridis, presented a rich musical program with favorite songs from the artistic and popular Greek repertoire. The attendees actively participated, singing along with the artists and creating a particularly warm and festive atmosphere.

The event ended with folk songs, which excited young and old, who joined in the dance, closing in the best way a beautiful summer evening full of tradition, culture and parish family.

This year, the children from the Catholic Church showed their dances very beautifully, we all applauded them. Η Αποστολία Ιατρίδη με τον Πάκα put in a good mood, we sang until late. Good evening, congratulations to everyone who organized it.

I really liked that this year the catechism children were the first to open the evening. Our hands got wet while clapping, Salome is also right. Apostolia and Plakas set the mood well, the crowd didn't really disperse.

Salome, I totally agree, the children danced very beautifully, especially the little girls. And I liked it the most when we all danced to the demotics together, my legs still hurt. It was good that it lasted so late.

Well done to the children from catechism, they played those Greek rounds really well, I especially liked the two faster ones. Apostolija and Plavka warmed up the atmosphere well, I sang with them until the end. Thanks to the organizers for making such an evening.

This year, the children from catechism danced really well, especially those fast circles, as Draganovych wrote. And when everyone went to demotics together, they still remember my legs. Thanks to the organizers for making such a warm summer dinner for the whole community.

Salome, you are absolutely right, the children danced very confidently. And I liked it the most when the little ones were already tired and still stayed until the end. What song did you hear the most?
V
Vladimir Ilić
Dragan, you are exactly right about those two faster cars - the kids played them like real ones, even I clapped my hands. Apostolija and Plavka really lit up, and I sang all the way to the end. Thank God that we have evenings like this in the parish.

You are absolutely right, Vladimir, the children played those two faster rounds so vividly that I got up from my chair. I especially liked Apostolija with that old song at the end, I sang louder than I would admit. Thank God that the parish still organizes evenings like this for us.

You are absolutely right, Vladimir, the children played those two faster rounds so vividly that I clapped my hands too. Plaka beautifully composed the songs with Apostolija, and I liked it the most when they finished with that old demotic - the whole yard rose. Thank God that our parish still manages to gather all generations like this.

The children did appear, Nicholas. And I liked it the most when they played "Σαν τα πουλάκια" and the little ones got out on their own to the front row. Which moment do you remember the most?

Ivana Kostić
I agree, Sofia, those kids were really hot, and when the old demotics started, even my son jumped to dance even though he doesn't normally like crowds. It's really nice that all generations gather around the church like this. Have you tried the walnut cake that the grandmothers brought after?
R
Radmila Nikolić
Yes, that old demotic was a real hit, the whole yard shook. I remember the children from catechism the most, the way they were blushing from running after the rehearsal. Did you see how many cakes grandma brought, I barely got to try the one with cherries before they were gone.
B
Bojana Savić
Yes, the catechism kids were really cute, all sweaty and blushing, just like you said. What I remember the most is that boy who kept losing his rhythm and laughing at himself. And I barely got a piece of my grandmother's cookies with walnuts, the cherries were gone in no time. Did you get to try the one with cheese?
B
Bojana Nikolić
Yes, that boy with the laugh was a real hit, we were all melting for him. I barely tried the cakes, I just grabbed a piece with cheese before they were gone, and the walnuts were the best. Did you see how the children ran after the lemonade, all red in the face?
M
Milica Živković
Yes, that boy was irresistible, he laughed so sincerely that we all burst out laughing. I arrived later so I barely got a piece with walnuts, just like you said - perfect. Did you try that lemonade afterwards, while the kids were still running around?
J
Jovan Savić
Yes, that boy was really irresistible, the whole nation laughed with him. I got there early so I grabbed a piece of cheese before they were all gone, and I had a lemonade in my hand while the kids ran around me. Did you stay until the end for those last pecan cookies?
S
Snežana Živković
Yes, that boy was a real hit, you could tell he was enjoying himself. I managed to take only a piece with walnuts before they disappeared, and I gave lemonade to the children because I was afraid that they would burn themselves from running. Did you stay until the end for those last games?
P
Petar Nikolić
Yes, that boy was really a hit, he was jumping like he was at a fair. I stayed until the end, the last games were really lively, even I played one round with the kids. And the lemonade was a smart move, the heat was hellish. Have you tried that cheese pie?
S
Snežana Kostić
Yes, that boy was really a real hit, you could see that his heart was full. I stayed until the very end, but I missed the cheese pie because I was saving room for the croissants I baked at home later. Have you tried the ones with plum jam?
R
Radmila Nikolić
Yes, that boy was really a hit, he jumped as if it was his greatest joy. I stayed until the end, but I enjoyed that last car more than the food - I barely had time to try the cake before the kids picked it all up. And you, did you take any of those nuts home for your son?
R
Radmila Radovanović
Yes, that boy was really a hit, he was jumping like he was at a fair. I stayed until the end, the last games were really lively, even I played one round with the kids. And the lemonade was a smart move, the heat was hellish. Have you tried that cheese pie? Yes, I tried the pie, it was juicy, just like the grandmother in the village makes. And I really enjoyed the circuit with the children, although my legs hurt a little the next day from jumping. Did you get to try that lemonade before it was all over?
B
Branislav Stanković
I didn't bring nuts, but I did take a piece of baklava for my youngest. That boy was really a whirlwind, I even laughed when he almost fell into the circle. And did you try those cheese pies, Radmila, or were they gone before you arrived?
J
Jelena Marković
Oh, Branislave, I really laughed when I read about that whirlwind - my elder was the same ten years ago at a similar dinner. I tried the baklava, it was good, but those pies with cheese really disappeared in five minutes, I didn't even get to the table. Did you catch at least one round in the round at the end?
