Volokolamsk Metropolitan Antonios met with the new Russian Ambassador to Syriatranslated

On September 7, 2026, Metropolitan of Volokolamsk Mr. Antonios, Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Syrian Arab Republic D.N. Dogadkin. His Eminence welcomed the newly appointed ambassador and wished him with God's help to continue his upcoming work.

At the end of the discussion, Metropolitan Mr. Antonios presented his guest with a commemorative gift.

The meeting was also attended by Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, Deputy President of TEES, and Archpriest Sergei Zvonarev, Secretary of TEES for Foreign Affairs.
